Scheduling for golf at the Olympics will be played over four days, similar to a typical PGA tournament. The action is set to kick off on Thursday, July 29, and conclude on Sunday, August 1.

Fifty-nine golfers will participate in the competition, but only a maximum of four players can represent each nation. Players were selected based on the world rankings, but some big names decided not to participate, including No. 2 ranked golfer Dustin Johnson.

The U.S. has four players: Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed, and Xander Schauffele.

No. 1 ranked golfer John Rahm was initially the top betting favourite and would’ve represented Spain. However, he tested positive for COVID-19, as did Bryson DeChambeau, who was replaced by Patrick Reed for the U.S.

Corey Connors and Mackenzie Hughes will be representing Canada, and they’re listed at +2200 and +5000, respectively.

The competition will be played at the Kasumigaseki Country Club’s East Course. The course is a par 71 and around 7,440 yards.
